WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT

Highest Quality Closet and Cabinetry Products

Our Mission

Closet City’s mission is to provide you with the highest quality custom closet and cabinetry products. We are able to do this through our highly skilled employees using state-of-the-art products and manufacturing processes. And, we do this for our retail customers and our wholesale dealers alike.

In other words, we bring happiness to our clients through “organization”. We take exceptional pride in every custom closet and cabinet system that we manufacture. Our inspiration is the people we employ, as well as those we work for.

Our Culture Beliefs

Have you ever seen a “para cord”? The single fibers of the Para Cord represent the many individuals within the company. Each one is strong and able to function independently, yet, when woven together, their strengths are multiplied many times over. Thus, creating a concrete and solid core. The physical and intellectual contributions of each individual, and their ability to work together as a team, help provide the framework of our strong, versatile, and successful company.

Continual Improvement

In the spring of 2016, Closet City’s General Manager was among the ninth cohort of 29 graduates who completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses – Greater Philadelphia program. These business leaders spent 14 weeks (roughly 100 class hours) at the Community College of Philadelphia. They studied a business and management curriculum that covered accounting and human resources, as well as negotiation and marketing. This program also included one-on-one business advising, accounting workshops, and advice from Goldman Sachs professionals.

Awards & Certificates

As a small, privately-owned, local company, we take great pride in sharing news about the awards and certifications we have earned over the years. We think we have done quite well as a mom-and-pop business competing against those larger closet franchises!

CotY Awards

For instance, we earned the “Contractor of the Year” award five years in a row! These awards came from the BucksMont chapter of NARI (National Assoc of the Remodeling Industry), and were in the Interior Design / Space Planning category. Our designer, Janet Stevenson, also won their “Professionalism” award in 2015!

Top Shelf Design Awards

Our closet remodeling designer, Janet Stevenson, also received awards in this national competition sponsored by CLOSETS magazine for THREE years in a row. Designs are judged based on overall appearance and ingenuity in solving challenges. This award also recognizes exceptional creative and functional custom closet designs.

Houzz Service & Design Awards

We are a member of the Houzz community. Houzz is a free online tool for homeowners to find pros to perform various home improvements. Our page, closets & cabinetry by Closet City, provides visitors with a wealth of photo idea books for inspiration. The page also features numerous reviews from previous clients. We were recognized by Houzz with “Service” badges in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. “This pro was rated at the highest level for client satisfaction by the Houzz community.” We also were awarded Houzz “Design” badges in 2013, 2014, and in 2015. “This pro’s portfolio was voted most popular by the Houzz community.”

Awarded 2013 – 2019

House & Home Magazine

Readers of House & Home magazine in Bucks and Montgomery Counties (PA) were asked to vote for local home improvement companies in various categories by going to the magazine’s website and voting online. Votes were tabulated and published in each November county/regional edition. That’s two years in a row we won this “best of” award!

CERTIFICATIONS

EPA Lead Safe Certified Renovator

In March 2010, we completed the required training to become a US Environmental Protection Agency Lead Safe Certified Firm. The EPA’s Renovation, Repair, and Painting regulations went into effect on April 22, 2010. These regulations apply to contractors performing renovations to homes and child occupied facilities that were built prior to 1978. (This is when production of lead based paint was banned.) Anyone working on pre-1978 housing is required to be certified by the EPA in the use of lead safe work practices. The entire scope of the regulation is available at www.epa.gov/lead/. Because of our EPA accreditation, we hope you will consider us when hiring a closet installation company. We not only provide quality materials and craftsmanship, but we also do our work in an environmentally safe manner.

Associations

We at Closet City are proud to be a member of these closet, design, and building associations. Did you know that we were also featured in print and online magazine publications, as well as on an HGTV home improvement show? And, we take pride in the work we have done for our many satisfied customers.

They also insure that clients who work with an ACSP member receive a professional experience, product, and installation. And, we have been a member from the very beginning of the ACSP!
