CERTIFICATIONS

EPA Lead-Safe Certified Renovator 2010

In March 2010, Closet City completed the required training to become a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Lead-Safe Certified Firm. The EPA's Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RPP) regulations are scheduled to go into effect April 22, 2010. These regulations apply to contractors performing renovations to homes and child-occupied facilities that were built prior to 1978, when production of lead-based paint was banned. Beginning on April 22, renovators of pre-1978 housing are required to be certified by the EPA in the use of lead-safe work practices.
