"Storage that grows with your child"

You can virtually double the space in your kids' closets! As they grow and change, so can their closet. Janet Stevenson, Design Consultant at Closet City, a company that designs, manufactures, and installs organization systems, shares her experience in working with kids' closets…

“The common complaint for a kid's closet is that the child opens the door, looks up to see the rod and shelf, looks down to see the floor (which she can reach) and drops all of her stuff on the floor! Bring things down to kid-level. Use a low bar for hanging, and shelves and drawers for folded clothes, toys, and books.”

Stevenson stresses the need for adaptability in closet design. “Always think to the future. The 5-year-old is going to be 15 really soon. Design the closet at an adult's height, but the shelves that will eventually hold her sweaters, shoes, etc., will, at five years old, hold teddy bears and books. Bars are all adjustable, so make the low bar reachable for the child, and you can move it up as the child grows.” Stevenson adds, “Existing space can literally be doubled with the right layout and materials. Plus, with the components Closet City offers, your shelves, drawers, hang-ing areas, and other features can be easily adjusted, added, and re-configured as often as your needs change.”

Closet City's 20 years of experience has earned them a reputation for quality and dependability. See the wide variety of storage solutions offered by visiting their showroom on Route 309 in Montgomeryville, or their website, www.closetcity.com
